The new Apple Silicon Macs are coming out this year!
Apparently, we are about a month away from an Apple event. As a result, you may have heard numerous rumors about it as well. In less than a month, on March 8th, we’ll have an apple event. However, what has Apple fans most excited is the growing list of new Macs that are expected to be unveiled this year. This year may surpass last year, and the majority of Apple users believe that last year exceeded 2020, and 2020 will undoubtedly surpass 2019. Thus, things continue to improve, and in today’s video, we’re going to discuss what we’re expecting not just at the March event, but throughout 2022.
Mark German believes that 2022 may be the best year for the Mac to date. And that’s a tall order, given that we got those insanely powerful MacBook Pros last year, and we kicked off the Apple silicon transition the year before. However, it appears as though Apple wishes to continue the momentum. Because we’re apparently going to be getting a slew of new maxes starting next month,
What we can expect from this year
This year, according to Mark German, is shaping up to be pretty freaking insane. As a result, we must brace for a small armada of new max. And yesterday, Mark German published a new report stating that four Macs equipped with the M2 chip will be released this year. It’s a message regarding a brand-new chip set. due to the fact that this is not the M1 pro or M1 pro ultra. This is entirely distinct from the higher-end Macs.
Thus, we can anticipate a low-end 14-inch Macbook pro to replace the m1 24-inch iMac, as well as a replacement for the m1 mac mini, and, of course, a redesigned Macbook air. As a result, this is intriguing for a variety of reasons.
The first is the chronology. Because Apple used to update their products at least once a year during the Intel era. Occasionally, twice a year. However, with Apple silicon, that seems somewhat implausible given the fact that a single chip will launch in multiple products over the course of several months. Thus, if you look at the M1, it was originally scheduled to launch in November 2020, but we received the iMac five or six months later. When it was released in May, and assuming a yearly upgrade cycle similar to that of the iPhone, the M1 iMac would have been obsolete within six months of its release. That makes little sense. Therefore, doing it every other year or, in this case, every year and a half would probably make more sense, depending on when these M2 products are released (more on that in a moment). The other thing that’s really interesting is that German is stating that Apple intends to keep both the Macbook Air and the Macbook Pro in the entry-level segment. So, let’s switch to see what’s new in 2022 by Apple.
Mackbook Pro M2
Therefore, what can we expect from the 14-inch MacBook Pro? The first thing we would expect is that they would remove one of the thunderbolt ports on the right. The current 14-inch model features three ports, but this is due to the addition of thunderbolt controllers. Those two will almost certainly be the only ones on the M2 chip. On the right, there will most likely be HDMI and SD ports, but no Thunderbolt port.
They may abandon promotion and mini-leds in favor of a more traditional ICD. We’ll have to wait and see what happens, but even if they do, we believe there is still potential, and one area that will be particularly interesting is battery life. It uses a much more efficient M2 chip that is more in line with the power consumption of an iPhone or an iPad. The battery life should be pretty legendary on that thing, and we’re guessing the thermal system developed for the M1 Pro and M1 Max will perform admirably. Maintaining a whisper-quiet and perfectly cool M2 chip, I believe, will result in a truly compelling product.
Mackbook M2 air
You might be wondering what happened to the MacBook Air after hearing this. What exactly is going to happen with that? Because we’ve been hearing a lot about the new redesigned MacBook Air with additional colors for quite some time, Most Apple users are extremely enthusiastic about the iMac, which is more in line with the iMac. If you remove the M1 Macbook Pro from the equations of price comparison, you can keep the existing M1 Macbook Air and stack this new one on top of it, saving you money. However, according to recent reports, the Macbook Pro will remain on the low end of the spectrum.
M2 iMac and Mac mini
We’re all looking forward to seeing what Apple has in store for the M2 iMac and Mac mini. This year, we can anticipate a change in the design of the iMac. In reality, the majority of Apple users are dissatisfied with the most recent design of the iMac in the M1 iMac series. However, there are a lot of people who like that design as well. With the upcoming M2 Mac mini, we can look forward to a more powerful Mac mini experience. So, let’s wait and see when it comes out.
iPhone 14 and iPads
Out of Macs, we can expect all the new iPhone series on this year’s iPhone 14 as well. According to rumors and leaks, the design of the iPhone 14 will not have a huge difference when compared to the previous iPhone 13 series. But, we can expect a change in the camera setup as they did before launching the iPhone series. And also, we could see a new iPad series as well this year. So, let’s see what happens on Apple this year.
