The New Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Must Have Accessories
Today we are going to explain about the latest flagship smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G and some of its must have accessories. Please keep in mind that this is not a full review on the item but a feature explanation and a simple description about the impression it gives.
What is Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra?
S21 Ultra is the biggest and the most powerful member in the S21 family (which includes S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra). All of these phones supports the new 5G connectivity and comes with Android 11 installed as its operating system. Other than being the biggest and the most powerful member, S21 Ultra is the only device in this three that supports the S Pen. It has a ridiculously powerful selfies camera and four rear cameras (S21 and S21+ only have three rear cameras).
Let’s go and talk about its features…
Body and Display
S21 Ultra has a 6.8″ edge Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 3200×1440 resolution and it weighs about 227 grams. This phone has amazing 515ppi (pixels per inch) rate and a 120Hz refresh rate. S21 Ultra will be available in 5 different colours, the major two colours are Phantom Silver and Phantom Black while the rest is Phantom Titanium, Navy and Brown. The front is covered with the toughest Gorilla glass named Gorilla Glass Victus. The frame is aluminium and has a glass back. Only this and the S21+ has the glass back while the S21 has a really good plastic back which doesn’t attracts fingerprints. All three of these phones are IP68 certified dust and water resistant, but you can’t keep this underwater forever. This can only stay underwater for 30mins or less and the water shouldn’t be deeper than 1.5m (only freshwater). The overall design of the S21 Ultra is really cool but bit weird in my humble opinion. The edges are satisfyingly rounded which are neither fully rounded corners nor fully squared edges.
S-Pen
As I said before, S21 Ultra is the only one among the three that supports the S Pen BUT you will have to buy it separately. When using the S Pen, do not expect the same experience as using it with a Galaxy Note because the S Pen features are really limited here. It doesn’t connect with the Bluetooth and wireless controls are not available too. There is not a special place in the phone to carry the S Pen (like the Galaxy Note), so you will have to buy a S Pen compatible case too, I will write down about one or two in the accessories part. Just keep in mind that the S Pen is only an optional feature to try and not exactly a necessity, by having it you can experience extremely low latency writing and controlling on your S21 Ultra. Camera
One of the best things about this phone is its camera. You know these Samsung flagship phones comes with a pretty great camera that can capture super quality pictures with great amount of details. This comes with four awesome rear cameras, and those are…

The super zooming feature called Space Zoom introduced in the S20 phones is back again in this. It helps you to zoom up to x100 scale with a considerably good image quality (actually more zoom means less quality and that theory applies in here too).

You can record videos in four different qualities, 720p HD @30FPS, 1080p FHD @60FPS, 4K UHD @60FPS and finally 8K videos at 24FPS. In addition to all that Slow motion, super slow motion, super steady, hyper lapse features are also back again
Battery and Performance
Since this has a 120Hz display with a 551ppi the battery will drain bit quicker but they added a might 5000mAh Lithium Polymer battery (most powerful battery in the trio, the S21 and the S21+ come with a 4000mAh and 4800mAh battery respectively). The fingerprint unlock is super-fast as usual.
Another special fact about this S21 smartphones is they don’t have an external memory card slot. So if you need more space, you will have to pay more. This S21 Ultra version has three (3) storage types of it and those are…

As you can see the Random Access Memory increases with the storage, massive 512GB phone comes with a 16GB RAM so the performance won’t change in any manner.
Wireless PowerShare is also available in this phone, which means you can charge your Galaxy Buds or Galaxy Watch using the S21 Ultra’s battery, wirelessly
Audio and Bluetooth
All S21 phones supports almost every audio format and provides superior sound quality. The built in speakers supports both Dolby Atmos (you have to enable it in the settings) and surround sounds. You can also connect two Bluetooth devices to a single phone and listen to music. No S21 phone has a 3.5mm jack, so it’s either speakers or a Bluetooth headset (or you can use a 3.5mm to USB Type-C converter).
Charging
Unbelievably, Samsung also decided to not to include a charging adapter with their smartphones. JUST LIKE APPLE DID! I don’t know why they are doing this but it is ridiculous in a way. Nonetheless, you will be persuaded to buy charging adapter separately or have use a previous one you have.
This phone supports 25W fast charging, which means you can charge a considerable portion of this battery in a matter of minutes and of course this supports wireless charging too.
I think now you should know about the majority of important features in this smartphone but this is not all. It is time to talk about the accessories.

If you are to have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (or S21 or S21+) there are some items that you will need the most.
Charging Adapter
If you don’t have a charging adapter that supports a USB Type-C cable (because the cable included in the smartphone package is a USB Type-C on both sides and of course you can use another cable but it is best to stick to the original cable).

Above I said you will need a specific case to carry your S Pen if you are going to have one. So here is the best solution for that.

Both of these are transparent cases. The major and the only difference between these two cases is the Glitter version has a beautiful pattern on it, just like stars in the sky. These two doesn’t interfere with the wireless charging but attracts fingerprints just like other transparent cases. The corners are likely to get brown with the usage. Other than those these are really good cases with nice cutouts and soft feeling but will tend to slip from your hand if your hand is sweaty or wet.
